EXPLANATIONS
(1) Than I peeled off and the paper I could reach standing on the floor. It sticks horribly and the pattern just enjoys it! All those strangled heads and bulbous eyes and waddling fungus growths just shriek with derision. I an getting angry enough to do something desperate. To jump out of the window would be admirable exercise, but the bars are too strong to try.
Reference to the Context: This passage has been taken from the essay ‘The Yellow Wallpaper” Written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Mrs. John by this time has almost completely lost her balance of mind. She was fully overpowered by the damaging effect of that yellow wall paper.
Explanation: In these times author says that the wife of the doctor was now almost fully out of control and had lost the sense what she was doing. she tried to move the bed but it was too heavy for her. She now began to tear that paper from the wall frantically as if she was under the control of some other power. She stood on the floor and tore it away to the best of her height. The paper has been strongly pasted but she removed it which n…de various shapes on the wall. She enjoyed those various designs of different shapes. She felt as if it was the figure created out of the paper but the creatures that had been strangled there. They seemed to be the heads with brightly shining round eyes who have been strangled. There were strange ideas in her mind about those figures created by the tearing of the wall paper. They were made by the fungus all around but she had the impression that they were made hanging and crying as though mocking the world. She got angry to see those figures and was very deeply disappointed. For once the idea of jumping out of the window came to her mind. She thought that it was a wonderful exercise but she could not do it. She tried and found that the bars of the window were very strong and she could not possibly remove them. We now notice unmistakably that the wife of the doctor has gone completely mad and all this was the result of the destructive influence of the yellow wall paper in the room where she was kept almost confined.
(2) She didn’t know I was in the room, and when fasked her in a quiet. a very quiet voice, with the most restrained manner possible, what she was doing with the paper-she turned round as if she had been caught stealing, and looked quite angry-asked me why I should frighten her so!
Reference to the Context: She could not sleep at night peacefully and she cannot tell this reality to anybody. Sometimes, even Jennie also seem to look at that peculiar yellow-wall paper. She did it secretly thinking that nobody had noticed her.

She thought that nobody was seeing her. Once Mrs. John suddenly entered the room and saw her doing it. Jennie did not know that she was there and Jennie touched it again and again. Mrs. John behaved with her lovingly and patiently. She peacefully asked her what she was doing in that way and Jennie was shocked and startled because she did not expect anybody to see her. There was neither anger nor hatred in her voice but Jennie was caught unawares. She suddenly turned round as if she was caught doing some thing wrong or stealing something. She looked at her with angry looks and asked why she had frightened her in that way. This shows that not only the wife of the doctor but even Jennie was also slowly coming under the dangerous influence of that yellow wall paper.
(3) “My darling.” said he, “I beg of you, for my sake and for our Child’s sake, as well as for your own, that you will never for one instant let that idea enter your mind! There is nothing so dangerous, so fascinating, to a temperament like yours. It is a false and foolish fancy. Can you not trust me as a physician when I tell you so ?”

Whatever she thinks about this place is simply a foolish imagination and there is nothing wrong here. he tells that as a doctor he understands things better and she must believe what he says. The love of the doctor for his wife but his failure to realize the mental trouble of his wife is quite obvious which later proves destructive.
(4) The repairs are not done at home, and I cannot possibly leave town just now. Of course if you were in any danger I could and would, but you really are better, dear, whether you can see it or not.
