Christie Hayes Biography and Works.

Christie Lynne Hayes was born on October 31, 1986. She is an Australian actress. Christie is the sister of actress Katherine Hayes.

In 2000, Hayes was cast as Maria in the family adventure series, Search for Treasure Island. Later that year, Hayes was cast in her biggest role to date as Kirsty Sutherland in the successful soap opera, Home and Away. She was the first person to be cast in her on screen “Sutherland” family. She played both Kirsty Phillips and Laura De Groot; the two characters were twin sisters separated at birth. Hayes, who was on the cover of the TV Week, more times in 2004 than any of her other castmates, left Home and Away in October 2004 in order to travel. Her final Home and Away appearance aired in February 2005.

She appeared in a Pepsi Light commercial in 2006 and made a guest appearance soap, on the Blue Water High. She was also involved in the making of various films and television shows, including Room 101, Searching For Eva, The First Goodbye and Noir.

Christie plays the lead in I.D. as Kate in 2011. Hayes returned to Home and Away in May 2008, as a series remaining regular until October 2009.

Christie has also done various television commercials, and at the of age nine was flown to New Zealand for a German yogurt commercial. She also did various Employment National ads, a P&O cruise ad and a Potato Nuggets ad.

She sang in her on-screen wedding on “Home And Away”. Voted as the Youth Ambassador for Australia in 2003, she also sponsors children through the World Vision Australia. Christie also appears at the annual Teddy Bears Picnic for sick children.
