Piper Perabo Biography and Works.

Perabo was born on October 31, 1976 to Mary Charlotte and George William Perabo in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. She is an American stage, film and TV actress. She is of Portuguese and Norwegian descent.

Piper graduated from the Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a degree in theatre.

Piper was cast in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle as FBI agent Karen Sympathy in 2000. Next, she was cast in Coyote Ugly as Violet Jersey Sanford for which she won an MTV Movie Award for the Best Music Moment for One Way or Another. She was also nominated for Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favourite Female – Newcomer and MTV Movie Award for Female Breakthrough Performance for the same film.

Piper starred in an independent Canadian movie called Lost and Delirious in 2001. The next year, she starred as a French exchange student in Slap Her… She’s French. In 2003, she had a role as the eldest Baker child in Cheaper by the Dozen, a role also played in the 2005 sequel of the film.

She had also worked in The I Inside (2003), Perfect Opposites (2004), George and the Dragon (2004), The Cave (2005), Imagine Me & You (2005), Edison (2005), The Prestige (2006) and Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008). She also appeared in the Fox TV Show House as a nutritionist.

Piper made her Broadway debut in 2009 in Neil La Bute play, Reasons to Be Pretty. Piper was also cast as the lead character, CIA agent Annie Walker in the television spy series, Covert Affairs on the USA Network. For her work in Covert Affairs, she received a nomination for the 2010 Golden Globe Award for the Best Actress – Television Series Drama.

Trivia

Piper’s mother is a physical therapist and her father is a professor of poetry at the Ocean County College. She has two brothers, Noah and Adam.
