Mick Jagger Biography and Works.

Sir Michael Philip Mick Jagger was born on July 26, 1943. He is an English musician, singer and songwriter. Best known as the lead vocalist of rock band, The Rolling Stones’, Jagger gained much press notoriety for admitted drug use and romantic involvements.

He met Keith Richards when he was four and were friends until they went into secondary schools and lost touch. But they accidentally met in 1960 and realized that they had an interest in Rock n Roll combined with blues. This led to the formation of the ‘Rolling Stones’.

With Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts, Jagger was a key ingredient in attracting the audiences towards the group. The Rolling Stones first made the British charts in 1964 with a cover version of Bobby Womack’s ‘It’s All Over Now’.

In the late 1960s, Jagger began acting in films. Jagger released his first solo album, She’s the Boss in 1985.

He and his girlfriend singer, Marianne Faithfull were caught during police raids in 1967 with drugs and illegal substances.

The Rolling Stones had several hit albums in the 1970s Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, and Some Girls.

The Rolling Stones made thousands of live performances and achieved endless record sales throughout the 70s with hits like ‘Angie’, ‘It’s Only Rock and Roll’, ‘Hot Stuff’ and ‘Respectable”.

In the late 1980s, the Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jagger and Richards decided to work together again around this time.

In early 2009, he joined the eclectic super group, Super Heavy. Jagger’s career has spanned over 50 years.
