Shahrukh Khan Biography and Works.
Shahrukh Khan was born on November 2, 1965. Shahrukh started his career with a TV serial called Fauji in 1988 that won him instant recognition. He has also acted in another TV soap called ‘Circus’ in 1989.
Being equally brilliant in studies and sports, he completed his education from Delhi. He fell in love with Gauri Chibba, and after many objections from her parents, married her before he got his break in Bollywood. The couple has two children.
Often referred to as ‘the King of Bollywood’, Shahrukh has acted in over 70 Hindi films.
He made his film debut in Deewana in 1992. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri for his contributions towards the Indian Cinema in 2005.
Since 1992, he has been part of numerous commercial successes as well as has delivered a variety of critically acclaimed performances.
Some of his successful films include Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Veer-Zaara (2004), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Chak De! India (2007), Om Shanti Om (2007), Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), My Name Is Khan (2010).
Shahrukh also branched out into film production and television presenting. He is the co-owner of two production companies, Dreamz Unlimited and Red Chillies Entertainment. Shahrukh is also the owner of the IPL cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders’.
Shahrukh and his wife, Gauri Khan, own the production company “Red Chillies Entertainments” which Shahrukh started for his friend and colleague – Farah Khan, director/choreographer, for her debut directorial film – Main Hoon Na (2004).
